Chesapeake, Va. (WTKR) – A motorcyclist is dead following a crash Saturday afternoon.
According to Officer Kelly O’Sullivan with Chesapeake Police, the accident occurred at 12:35 p.m. in the 5100 block of W. Military Highway.
O’Sullivan says an adult male, the operator of the motorcycle, was pronounced dead on the scene. He has been identified as 43-year-old Corey Rooney.
The female driver of the involved vehicle was transported to Maryview Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
No one has been charged at this time. The accident remains under investigation.
