Chesapeake, Va. – A fire in the Great Bridge section of Chesapeake ripped through a two-story town home Sunday afternoon.

According to a release sent by Captain Saunders with Chesapeake Fire, the blaze started on Mill Landing Road around 12:20 p.m. in the attached storage room of the home. The fire extended to the vinyl siding above the storage room, but never entered the interior of the home.  It was out by 12:33 p.m.

No injuries were reported.

Electricity was suspended due to damage to the electrical panel, which was located in the storage room.

Captain Saunders says that because the home has no electricity, the three adult occupants have been displaced.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
