Neighbors: Christmas gifts among items stolen in Virginia Beach car break-ins

Virginia Beach, Va. --- Neighbors in Green Run say several of their cars were broken into early Monday morning.

It happened to at least five cars  on Windmill Drive, according to neighbors, but police unavailable to confirm the exact amount or what was stolen.

"I went to check my trunk. I had stuff in my trunk for Christmas and everything was gone," said Kelvin Dailey. "It's like, who takes kids' toys?"

Someone even smashed a window to steal a wallet and sneakers from a car. "It just makes me mad because I work hard for the stuff I get," said Kenisha Hopson.

Neighbors aren't sure exactly when it all happened, and say they just want these people caught.

"It's kind of nerve-wracking because my husband works late and I'm always here with the kids, so now I'm making sure I keep my doors locked," said Shemeaka Crawford.
