Police arrest Virginia Beach stabbing suspect

Virginia Beach, Va. – A boy accused of stabbing a woman in Virginia Beach was taken into custody Tuesday.

On December 6 around 11 a.m., police received a call regarding a stabbing in the 5300 block of Shell Road.

When police arrived at the scene, they found an adult female suffering from a non-life threatening injury to an upper extremity.

The woman was treated and released from the hospital.

The victim told police the suspect was a black male with a dog on a leash, holding a knife.

The suspect ran away from the area after the attack.

Officers found a male matching the victim’s description and took him to the Virginia Beach Juvenile Detention facility.  He was charged with one count of felonious assault.
