Driver injured in crash involving school bus

Norfolk, Va. – A school bus was involved in an accident on Wednesday, according to dispatch.

The accident happened around 7:15 a.m. at Reservoir and East Virginia Beach Boulevard.

The bus driver was merging into another lane and sideswiped a Mazda 3, according to Officer Daniel Hudson.

There were no students on the bus at the time.

The driver of the Mazda 3 was not seriously injured but was in pain and taken to the hospital. The bus driver was treated on scene.

The bus driver was cited for failure to yield.
