Norfolk, Va. – Police presence has been increased at Granby High School and Northside Middle School after threats were posted on Facebook, Norfolk Public Schools and Norfolk Police officials say.

After investigating the situation, police say the threat was found to be not credible and the increase in presence is just a precaution.

Both schools are still under normal operations.

On Monday, Norfolk Police said a similar threat seen on Facebook for Granby High School came from the same source as a Green Run High School social media threat. It’s believed that Granby was written instead of Green Run when it was being shared.
