Mobile home considered ‘total loss’ after fire in James City County

James City County, Va. – A mobile home suffering extensive damage has been declared a “total loss,” officials say.

Fire units were dispatched to a fire in the 6000 block of Old Mooretown Road on December 9 around midnight.

The mobile home was fully involved in the fire, which was brought under control around 12:41 a.m.

The mobile home was unoccupied at the time of the fire. A neighbor noticed the fire and called 911.

One firefighter was treated on scene for an eye injury.  There were no other injuries.

Fire officials are investigating the cause of the fire.
