Patrick’s VIPIR Forecast: A little bit of rain, a whole lot of warmth

Posted

Patrick Rockey’s Live VIPIR Forecast

A little bit of rain, a whole lot of warmth.

A weak little storm system will push through the region overnight bringing a quick hit of rain. Most of the wet weather will be over by the morning commute on Thursday. But some of the roads may be wet as you head off to work.

That storm system will move out, quickly replaced by an area of high pressure to our south. That high will pump in some very mild weather over the next couple of days.

With clearing skies expect high temperatures in the mid 60s by Thursday afternoon and into the upper 60s to near 70 degrees on Friday.

The weekend will be unusually warm, with high temperatures in the upper 60s and lower 70s both Saturday and Sunday. Saturday will bring more sunshine. Sunday will bring an increase in clouds and a slight chance for a late-afternoon shower.

Rain is looking more likely Sunday night and through the day on Monday as a cold front crosses the region.

Behind that cold front expect high temperatures back down into the 50s by midweek.
