Virginia Beach, Va. – The Christian Broadcasting Network has resumed normal activities after a HAZMAT situation on Monday morning.

The fire department says a white powder was found in the mail receiving room inside the building.

According to CBN, an employee opened a letter addressed to the company and found the white powder inside. The employee immediately alerted CBN Police, who then sealed off the facility, quarantined the employee, and alerted authorities.

The employee was not affected by the substance and did not require any medical attention.

No one was evacuated from the building, but it was been placed on lockdown as a precaution while authorities investigated. The building has since resumed normal activities.

The FBI, United States Postal Inspector, and Virginia Beach HAZMAT officials all reported to the scene.

The Chief of Police for Regent University says they do not believe any criminal intent was involved.
