Newport News, Va. – Newport News Police are looking for the person who shot a man around midnight on Wednesday.
An officer was driving in the 22nd Street and Orcutt Avenue area at approximately 12:12 a.m. when the officer saw a man lying on the ground.
The victim informed the officer that he had been shot multiple times.
He said he was in the intersection of 22nd Street and Orcutt Avenue when he was approached by another man that he knew and was shot in the arm, both legs, and the buttocks.
He was transported to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
Police are still investigating the crime and no charges have been filed.
