Man thrown from SUV in Suffolk crash

Suffolk, Va.- Police say a man was thrown from his SUV after he swerved off the road and  hit a jersey wall Sunday morning.

According to Suffolk Police, the crash happened on Route 58 westbound near the VDOT weigh station around 3:30 a.m.

The man was taken to Norfolk General Hospital with life-threatening injuries and no one else was in the SUV at the time.

The crash caused VDOT to closed parts of the road for several hours and police are still investigating.
