Woman arrested in connection to two Hampton Walgreens robberies

Hampton, Va. – A 35-year-old woman has been arrested in connection with the robberies of two Walgreens stores that occurred on December 25th and December 26th.

Police first responded to the Walgreens in the 900 block of West Mercury Boulevard at 7:15 a.m. on Christmas morning in reference to a robbery. The second robbery occurred on December 26th at the Walgreens in the 3300 block of West Mercury Boulevard.

In both cases, police say the female suspect entered the store, implied she had a weapon, and demanded money. After receiving an undisclosed amount of cash, she fled from the store.

Kimberly Paul Barney, 35, was arrested in connection to these incidents. She has been charged with two counts of Use of a Firearm in the Commission of a Felony, and one count of Unauthorized Use of a Vehicle.

She remains in custody at the Hampton City Jail.
