Firefighters respond to house fire in Suffolk

Suffolk, Va. – Suffolk firefighters responded to a house fire in the 1000 block of Snead Drive Wednesday morning.

According to dispatch the call came in at 8:19 a.m., and upon arriving firefighters found smoke coming from the residence.

Crews were able to control the fire within minutes.

One adult and two children were evaluated on scene for possible smoke inhalation and were cleared.

The fire is believed to have started in a washing machine.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
