Police confirm two Norfolk shootings are related

Norfolk, Virginia – Detectives with the Norfolk Police Department have confirmed that two Norfolk shootings are related.

On January 4, officers responded to the 2600 block of Waverly Way just before 11:00 p.m., where a man had been shot inside of a home.

The man has been identified as 27-year-old Christopher Allen.

Allen was taken to Sentara Norfolk General Hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.

While police were still on scene at Waverly Way, another man arrived at Bon Secours DePaul Medical Center suffering multiple gunshot wounds.

The victim was transferred to Sentara Norfolk General Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Detectives are still trying to find out why the men were shot.

No charges have been filed in this case at this time.
