Moyock, NC – A man is in custody and another is wanted after a bank robbery at a bank in Moyock.
This occurred at the Towne Bank at 250 Caratoke Highway on January 6th. The Sheriff’s office was notified at around 4:16 p.m. about the incident.
Employees say they saw a man come into the bank, he took out a note stating that the bank was being robbed and left.
Deputies searched the area and he was seen running across the highway.
After photos were released of the suspect, tips led to the identification of a person of interest.
Police were then able to identify Emery David Sanderlin as their suspect.
He is now in custody in Virginia Beach.
Detectives are still trying to identify another person who was driving a vehicle officials say.
Sanderlin has been charged with Common Law robbery.
No other information has been released.
