Newport News, Va. – All travel lanes were closed Wednesday at I-64 eastbound at Victory Boulevard due to an overturned tractor trailer.

State police say a 2003 Mack Tractor tried to get on I-64E from the Victory Boulevard on ramp when the load inside of the truck shifted, causing the truck to overturn on the driver’s side.
The crash caused the scrap metal in the trailer to spill into all eastbound travel lanes.
The driver of the truck, Angel Wescott, has been taken to Riverside Regional Medical Center for a non-life threatening injury.
All eastbound lanes were blocked and traffic was moving on the left shoulder around the crash scene. A detour is in place at Jefferson Avenue.
