Police catch Virginia Beach 7-Eleven robbery suspect

Virginia Beach, Va. – Police have arrested a suspect in connection with three robberies that occurred Saturday night within minutes of each other.

Dispatch received reports around 7 p.m. of a robbery at a 7-Eleven on 24th Street. It was reported that the suspect, who was armed with a knife, robbed the store of an unknown amount of cash.

Less than 10 minutes later, police received a report of an attempted robbery of another 7-Eleven on Pacific Avenue.

Police received another report, this time about someone stealing something from an ABC store on 30th Street.

In each case, the suspect was described as a white male 20-30 years of age, wearing a blue hoodie. He was reported to have been armed with a knife.

There were no reported injuries in these cases.

Malcolm Hunter Kyle, 19, has been charged with armed robbery, attempted armed robbery, wearing a mask in public, and 3rd offense petit larceny.

Kyle is being held in the Virginia Beach City jail on no bond.
