One displaced after early-morning fire at Norfolk home

Norfolk, Va. – One person has been displaced after a fire at a home under renovation in Norfolk early Saturday morning.

The first units arrived at the scene in the 3000 block of Lyons Avenue at 1:43am and found heavy fire at the rear of a two story house.

The first floor of the home was being renovated, and a single person lived on the second floor.

In all 22 fire personnel responded to bring the blaze under control.

No injuries were reported, and the single occupant will be displaced, but will not need Red Cross assistance.
