Christopher Lamont Mitchell
Virginia Beach, Va.- A man is indicted for a homicide on January 31, in Virginia Beach.
The Grand Jury in the Virginia Beach Circuit Court indicted 38-year-old, Christopher Lamont Mitchell, for the shooting death of 39-year-old Robert Atwood.
Mitchell is indicted on charges of Second Degree Murder and Use of Firearm.
According to dispatch, they received a call for a firearm violation in the 5800 block of Newtown Arch around 1:00 a.m.
When police arrived on scene they found Atwood suffering from a gunshot wound to the chest.
He was later taken to a hospital where he died.
