Oscar Smith High School Head Football coach leaves for position in Georgia

Chesapeake, Va. – The head coach of Oscar Smith High School’s football team is leaving for a new position in Georgia soon.

Richard Morgan, Jr will now serve as the head coach at Marietta High School starting March 1, 2016.

Morgan,who has 22 years of experience, spent 13 years at Oscar Smith and enjoyed 81 consecutive season wins, 164 wins and 20 losses.

He has also led the team to two state championships, 7 state playoff appearances, 11 district championships, 5 region championships and national team ranking 9 years.

Morgan has also had national recognition and he has had several of his games televised by ESPN.
