North Carolina Gov. Pat McCrory was involved in a crash while leaving the Super Bowl Sunday night that left his vehicle totaled.
His office says it happened in Santa Clara in a California Highway Patrol vehicle that McCrory was riding in.
He was hurt, but not seriously, his office said in a statement.
Following the accident he was able to switch cars and make it to his destination.
In a statement he said quote “We were very fortunate and while I am still proud of the Carolina Panthers, this puts the game in proper perspective.”
