Dare County, NC – Dare County’s Narcotics Task Force made three arrests on February 9th for drug trafficking.
The Task Force was able to identify a female suspect and conducted a traffic stop on her in Kitty Hawk, where they seized a large amount of Heroin.
At the traffic stop, authorities arrested Romona Elizabeth Hamby, 35, of Kitty Hawk, who they charged with Felony Possession with the intent to Sell/Deliver Heroin.
Later that day, authorities conducted another trafficking stop where they arrested two males traveling back from Virginia.
With the assistance of the Kitty Hawk and Nags Head Police Departments/K-9 units, the Dare County Task Force was able to make two more arrests.
Police arrested Jon Patrick Kane ,28, and Mitchell Ryan Rodrigues ,22, who are both from Kill Devil Hills, NC.
Kane is charged with Felony Possession with the intent to Sell/Deliver Heroin.
Rodrigues will be also be charged with Felony Possession with the intent to Sell/Deliver Heroin and Felony Maintaining a Vehicle for Controlled Substances.
All three suspects were released on bonds.
Hamby’s charges are separate from Kane and Rodrigues’.
