Norfolk, Va. – Three men from the Lyon Shipyard are being hailed as heroes after rescuing a teen from freezing waters.
Police received a call about a person who jumped off of the Campostella Bridge just after 8:30 a.m.
When officers arrived, they saw the teen standing on a wooden pier, stranded in the water.
Three men from Lyon Shipyard immediately retrieved their tugboat and rescued the teen from the water.
The teen was taken to Sentara Norfolk General Hospital with non-life threatening injuries and is being evaluated.
No charges will be filed.
