Alexa “Lex” McAllister, a “The Bachelor” Season 14 contestant, has died of an apparent overdose. She was 32.

Law enforcement sources in Columbus, Ohio tell TMZ they received an emergency call Saturday (Feb. 13) around 2 p.m. that McAllister appeared to have overdosed on prescription pills. She was taken to the hospital, but her family says her body started to shut down and on Tuesday she was removed from life support.

A family member says McAllister had struggled with depression and bipolar disorder. They believe her death was a suicide.

On Jake Pavelka’s “Bachelor” season, McAllister was sent home after the first week. She later said that Season 14 winner Vienna Girardi was “absolutely not to blame” for Giradi’s ultimate split with Pavelka.

This is not the first “Bachelor”-related suicide. Gia Allemand, who came in 3rd during the same season McAllister appeared, took her own life in 2013.
