First Warning Storm Team: Tracking warm temps and showers today, then more rain for the work week

Posted

Tracking warm temps and showers today, then more rain for the work week….As we move through this Sunday, enjoy the warm weather. We’re expecting high temperatures in the upper 60s and possibly the lower 70s. We’ll see sunshine for the early part of the day, but by afternoon and evening, clouds will increase and thicken ahead of a cold front. That front will move in from the northwest today giving way to a few scattered showers by afternoon and evening.  Our northern communities will likely see rain first, then the line of rain will move southeast.  The front will slide to our south on Monday over the Carolinas. Now, while there will be a chance of rain Monday, best chances will be to our south. Otherwise, expect mostly cloudy skies with highs in the low to mid 50s. Rain chances will likely go back up into Tuesday and Wednesday. Some of our forecast models are hinting at some lingering rain by Thursday. As for our temperatures, with all the clouds and several chances of rain, high temperatures will fall back into the 50s for most of next week. We’ll be in the 40s next weekend.

Today: Increasing Clouds. Chance of Rain (40%). A Little Warmer. High temperatures in the upper 60s. Winds: SW 5-15 mph.

Tonight: Mostly Cloudy. Scattered Rain (50%). Low temperatures in the mid 40s. Winds: SW 10-15 mph.

Tomorrow: Mostly Cloudy. Chance of Rain (30%). High temperatures in the lower 50s. Winds: N 10-15 mph.
