Man robs Dollar General at gunpoint in Newport News

Newport News, Va. – A man is wanted for robbing a Dollar General at gunpoint on Monday night.

This happened at 7:23 p.m. on February 22, 2016.

Police say a man walked into the Dollar General on 17413 Warwick Boulevard, took out a gun and demanded money.

Officials say the man was a white male in his 20s, stands about 5’10”, weighs 160-175 and has brown eyes and hair. He was wearing a dark green zip-up hooded sweat shirt over blue jeans and dark shoes.

He covered his mouth with a dark cloth. He was also wearing gloves and a black knit cap.

Two employees and several customers were inside of the store at the time.

No one was injured.
