Man wanted for shooting at house after argument in Chesapeake

Virginia Beach, Va. – Virginia Beach Police need your help finding a wanted man.

On February 20 just before 4 a.m., a suspect and another person got into a verbal argument.

The suspect, 29-year-old Brian Lamar Askew, later came to the victim’s house on Professor Court and started destroying things in the home. As he was leaving the home, he fired several shots at the house.

Askew is around 6’1″ and 180 pounds. He has tattoos near his right eye, the left and right side of his neck and on the knuckles of both hands. He also has a mark near his left eye.

Askew is wanted for shooting into an occupied dwelling, possession of a firearm by felon, destruction of private property, and probation violation.

Askew is considered armed and dangerous. His last known address is in the 4100 block of Wake Avenue in Chesapeake. He is known to frequent the areas of Alexander Street , Fenner Street as well as the Lido Inn on East Little Creek Road.
