Newport News Police looking for help solving 2013 cold case murder

Newport News, Va. – Newport News Police are asking for the public’s help solving a 2013 cold case homicide.

On January 20th, 2013, Ajene Tylik Marrow was found laying facedown at the front door of his residence suffering from a gunshot wound. He was transported to Riverside Regional Medical Center where he was pronounced deceased.

Witnesses reported seeing a gold Nissan with a loud muffler and temporary tags driving past the residence and then back up as Marrow was exiting his vehicle.

Two men approached Marrow and a fight broke out. One gunshot was heard before Marrow collapsed. The two men fled from the area.

No one has been charged in the murder.
