Norfolk police searching for two robbery, carjacking suspects

Norfolk, Va. – Police are looking for two men suspected of robbing and carjacking someone around 10 a.m. Thursday.

Three men were riding in a car in the 3500 block of Whitechapel Road. Two of the passengers implied that they had a weapon and robbed the driver of personal items.

The two suspects drove away in the victim’s car. Officers found the car abandoned a short distance away.

Surrounding schools were on a precautionary lockdown while police canvassed the area.

The suspects were not found during the search of the neighborhood.

The suspects have been described as a Hispanic male and an African-American male in their late teens to early twenties.
