Hampton, Va. – Police have arrested a man in connection with a stabbing that occurred on February 27.

Communications received a stabbing complaint in the 200 block of West Queen Street just after 11 a.m.

Police say the victim and suspect were arguing when the suspect, 35-year-old Terry Blackwell, pulled out a knife and stabbed a 58-year-old man in the back.

The victim was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Authorities say Blackwell and the victim knew each other.

Blackwell was charged with one count of assault-maiming and remains in custody at the Hampton City Jail.
