Two kids hit by vehicle in Norfolk

Norfolk, Va. – Two children were hit by a vehicle in Norfolk on Monday and the driver of the vehicle was cited.

This happened on Chesapeake Boulevard and Dudley Avenue.

Police say at around 4 p.m., a maroon, 4-door vehicle was going West on Dudley and tried to make a left turn to go onto South Chesapeake Blvd.

While making the turn,  police say the driver hit two kids in the cross walk. They say he hit two boys, ages 7 and 9.

The children have been transported to CHKD with non-life threatening injuries.

The driver was cited for failing to yield right of way, suspended driver’s license, and failure to obtain insurance.
