Friday’s First Warning Forecast: Rain and wind

Meteorologist Myles Henderson’s First Warning Forecast

Rain, windy and snow…. Rain will continue to blanket the area this morning as an area of low pressure moves off of the Carolina coast. Some snow will mix in for the northern Eastern Shore, inland Peninsulas and inland Southside. Any additional snowfall will be minimal. Precipitation will taper off from west to east by midday. Skies will start to clear late this afternoon with highs only in the mid 40s. Winds will really crank up today. Expect northerly winds at 20 to 30 mph with gusts to near 40 mph.

We will start a warming trend this weekend. Highs warming into the upper 40s Saturday and low 50s Sunday. Expect a mix of sun and clouds this weekend with a chance for rain showers Sunday morning. We will warm back into the 60s next week and near 70 by midweek.

Tonight: Partly Cloudy. Lows in the mid 30s. Winds: N 5-15

Tomorrow: Partly Cloudy. Highs in the upper 40s. Winds: N/S 5-10
