Norfolk, Va. – A person is in custody after reportedly assaulting a Norfolk Police officer Friday night.
According to police dispatch, officers were called to the 1400 block of Picadilly Street on a report of vandalism at 7:40 p.m.
When the officer arrived, he was assaulted by the male suspect.
The officer chased the suspect on foot to the Wawa at 6301 N. Military Highway where he was taken into custody.
