Hampton Roads - Police in five different cities across Hampton Roads were called out to seven different shootings this weekend. Three of them were just in Norfolk.
A 16-year-old was taken to hospital following one of the shootings. Norfolk Police say they were first called to the intersection of Pollard Street and Barre Street around 7:45 p.m. The teen had serious injuries. He is expected to recover.
A few hours later, around 10 p.m., police were called to a separate shooting on Lead Street.
A Chester man was killed in an Ocean View shooting. Norfolk Police identified the victim as Robert Reynolds Knight III. Two men have been arrested in connection with the shooting death of Knight in Ocean View on Saturday. Elisha Hernandez, 22, and Mondozer Masters,35, have both been charged with second degree murder, attempted robbery, conspiracy to commit a robbery and use of a firearm in commission of a felony.
Aside from the Norfolk shootings, Virginia Beach, Hampton,Newport News and Portsmouth also responded to shootings in their cities.
Police say shooters in the other incidents remain on the loose tonight.
