Chesapeake, Va. – Crews in Chesapeake are working to fix a natural gas leak in the 2000 block of Campostella Road that happened Tuesday morning.
According to the Chesapeake Fire Department, contractors laying fiber optic cable struck the gas line.
No one was injured and no one has been evacuated. However, Campostella Road is shut down between Portlock Road and Battlefield Boulevard.
The road is expected to remain closed until 12:30 p.m. – 1 p.m. while crews repair the ruptured line.
