Newport News man pleads guilty to heroin charges

Newport News, Va. – Newport News native Roosevelt Fox, also known as Unc, pleaded guilty to intent to distribute and distribution of heroin.

The 54-year-old admitted in his plea agreement that  he had participated in a conspiracy involving one kilogram and three kilograms of heroin that were distributed in Newport News and Hampton.

In August 2015, Fox supplied one person with heroin who overdosed and was seriously injured. The person survived and continued receiving supplies from Fox.

On February 10,  Fox was indicted by a grand jury and faces a minimum sentence of 10 years and a maximum of life in prison. He will be sentenced on June 17.
