Newport News, Va. – Police arrested a man after officers say he robbed a woman at gunpoint in the parking lot of Best Buy on Jefferson Avenue.
The woman sat in her car as two men approached her on Monday at about 5:15, according to police. Officers accuse Marques Jones of robbing the 25-year old woman at gunpoint.
Before this, police say Jones and another man tried to break into cars in the parking lot. They eventually got into one.
Best Buy security followed the suspects and pointed them out to police. Jones was arrested after a short chase. Officers are still trying to identify the second man.
