Chesapeake, Va. - A man who barricaded himself inside a Chesapeake home for several hours is now in police custody.
Police responded to a burglar alarm at a home in the 2700 block of Ike Street around 9:20 a.m.
When they searched the area, they smelled marijuana coming from a trailer connected to the alarm.
A man inside of the trailer refused to cooperate. Police issued a search warrant but the man continued to refuse to get out of the trailer.
Police spent several hours negotiating with the man and he willingly surrendered around 12:30 p.m.
Charges against the man are pending.
