Virginia Beach, Va. – Virginia Beach Public Library (VBPL) Youth and Family services manager, Katie Cerqua, has been named a “Mover and Shaker” in the library industry.
This is according to the national publication, Library Journal.
The 140 year old publication recognized 54 professionals from across the country.
Cerqua was selected as a “Mover and Shaker” because of her leadership in combating the learning loss that children experience over summer break.
She was also selected for spearheading a partnership with Virginia Beach City Public Schools’ Title I sites.
Katie Cerqua was featured in the March 15, issue and will be honored at a special reception in Orlando, Fla.
