Man arrested in connection to robberies at two Norfolk 7-Eleven stores

Norfolk, Va. – A 34-year-old man has been arrested in connection to two robberies that occurred at 7-Eleven stores in Norfolk on Thursday morning.

Norfolk Police say Richard Stegman entered the 7-Eleven at 4500 E. Princess Anne Road, implied he had a weapon and demanded money from the clerk.

After receiving an undisclosed amount of money, Stegman fled. He was located and arrested a short time later.

Stegman is also connected to an attempted robbery at the 7-Eleven at 2327 Sewells Point Road that occurred earlier, around 2:15 a.m.

Stegman has been charged with Attempted Commercial Robbery, Commercial Robbery and Use of a Firearm in the Commission of a Felony.
