Woman charged in attempted drive-thru robbery of Newport News pharmacy

Newport News, Va. – A 39-year-old woman has been charged after attempting to rob a Rite Aid through the drive-thru window.

Police say on Monday Katina Yolanda Price, of Williamsburg, drove up to the window of the Rite Aid at 671 J. Clyde Morris Blvd. and handed an employee a note.

She demanded drugs and implied she had a firearm.

When officers arrived, they found that a store security officer had the woman detained in the drive-thru window.

No one was injured.

Price has been charged with attempted robbery.
