NORFOLK, Va. – A North Carolina man was sentenced Thursday to 360 months in prison for coercion and enticement of a minor.

Adam Cain, 41, of Roanoke Rapids, pleaded guilty on Dec. 10, 2015.

According to court documents, in August 2015, a concerned relative of a 15 year old girl contacted Windsor Police because she found sexually explicit conversations on a computer tablet between the girl and Cain.

Cain was already a registered sex offender and also a relative of the 15-year-old.

He had been convicted in 2013 for having indecent liberties with a 12-year-old relative.

Investigation revealed that after Cain and the 15-year-old girl had been speaking online for months, he drove to Windsor to pick her up. Cain drove the girl back to his home in North Carolina where they engaged in sexually explicit conduct.

The court documents also revealed that Cain took sexually explicit pictures of the girl before driving her back home to Windsor.

In addition to the 30 year prison sentence, Cain was also sentenced to 30 years of supervised release.
