Coast Guard rescues three from disabled boat near Oregon Inlet

Oregon Inlet, N.C. – Three people had to be rescued after their boat broke down near the Oregon Inlet on Sunday, March 27, 2016.

The three people were on a boat called  “Miss Lilah” , which became disabled just 38 miles east-southeast of the Oregon Inlet.

Reports came in about the stranded boaters at 10:20 a.m.

The motor life boat crew from the Coast Guard Station Oregon Inlet launched at 11:25 a.m. and they arrived on the scene at 2 p.m.

The boat was towed to Wanchese Harbor by 9 p.m.

No one was injured.
