Chesapeake, Va. – Chesapeake Square Mall is going into foreclosure.

The city was notified of the foreclosure process Wednesday.

Chesapeake Director of Public Communication Mark Cox told NewsChannel 3 the foreclosure is likely due to mortgage payments being late or not being paid at all.

The foreclosure sale is set to take place on April 21.
