Marijuana, oxycodone found inside vehicle during N.C. traffic stop

Dare County, N.C. – Hatteras Island Deputies found marijuana, oxycodone, digital scales and cash during a traffic stop on March 24.

Deputies pulled a car over for an expired registration.  During the stop, a Nags Head Officer and his K-9 came to assist the deputy.

The police dog alerted deputies of the presence of a controlled substance. Deputies searched the vehicle and found the drug related items.

Antonio Devon Moore, 27, and Carlton Lynn Morris Jr., 28, were arrested.

Moore and Morris were both charged with felony possession with the intent to sell/deliver marijuana, felony possession of marijuana,
misdemeanor possession of a scheduled II controlled substance (Oxycodone) and misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia

Morris was also charged for Expired Registration.

Both men were released on a $6,000 secured bond.
