Newport News, Va. – The Virginia Sierra Club and Newport News residents and organizations are holding a clean power plan rally.
The event is part of statewide rallies calling for carbon reduction.
People will hold a Day of Action in 12 locations across Virginia. The rallies will call on Governor Terry McAuliffe to uphold the standards set for Virginia by the Environmental Protection Agency’s Clean Power Plan.
The event will take place on April 2 from 7:30 p.m. through 9 p.m. at the City Center at Oyster Point on 701 Town Center Drive.
