The Columbus Zoo’s five-month-old polar bear cub is growing up strong, now weighing over 50 pounds!
Nora was born on November 6 and has captured the hearts of animal lovers everywhere through the zoo’s frequent updates on her progress.
Currently, Nora cannot be seen by zoo guests, but the zoo says she’s working on moving up to the large polar bear yard.
She’s finally being introduced to the water and zookeepers say she’s comfortable putting all four paws in and paddling around! She’s also enjoying grass, mulch, sand, ice and other types of terrain.
Plus, zookeepers have now started weaning Nora off her formula and onto meat. They say she’s enjoying the meat so far and will soon also be introduced to fish!
