After announcing bankruptcy in February, Hancock Fabrics has announced that they are now closing all of their 185 stores.
The Mississippi-based business has already started their liquidation sale, both online and in-store.
There are currently four Hancock Fabrics stores in Hampton Roads, including two in Chesapeake, one in Virginia Beach and one in Hampton.
At this time, the advertised liquidation sales are as follows:
Hancock Fabrics has struggled in recent years, filing for bankruptcy twice — once in 2007 and again in February of 2016. After filing in 2007, the company reorganized but only posted a profit in 2009.
There has been no announcement on an exact date for when the stores will close.
