Two Norfolk-based Navy ships, one Portsmouth-based Coast Guard cutter participating in New York Fleet Week

Norfolk, Va. – Five U.S. Navy ships, four U.S. Naval Academy (USNA) Yard Patrol boats (YPs), two U.S. Coast Guard cutters (USCGC), and four Royal Canadian Navy ships will participate in 2016 Fleet Week New York (FWNY) from May 25-31, the Navy announced Monday.

Two of the Navy ships and one of the Coast Guard cutters are stationed in Hampton Roads.

The Navy says it is anticipated that nearly 4,500 Sailors, Marines and Coast Guardsmen will participate.

All ships will be open for tours from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

*Please note due to cruise ship operations there will be no public tours on Pier 88S on Sunday, May 29.
