HENRICO, Va. (WTVR) – Henrico Police have made an arrest theMarch murder of a Virginia Beach man.
Just after midnight on Thursday, March 10, Henrico Police were flagged down near the intersection of Alma Avenue and E. Laburnum Avenue, less than a mile from Richmond International Raceway.
A citizen informed officers that a man had been shot in the area of Alma Avenue. Officers located 23-year-old Jahshim Nahshon Turnbull, of Virginia Beach, on Conway Street near Cliff Avenue. He was dead on the scene.
Police released surveillance images of a man last seen with him one day after Turnbull’s murder.
During the course of the investigation, detectives identified Anton Lateef Edwards, age 25, of Bowling Green as the Turnbull murder suspect. Detectives say the motive for the murder was robbery.
Edwards was charged with first-degree murder, robbery, conspiracy to commit robbery, two counts of use of a firearm in the commission of a felony, and possession of a firearm by convicted felon.
